Electoral Area Committees
The members of Donegal County Council are elected to six electoral areas in Co. Donegal as follows:
A key element of Donegal County Councils Decentralisation and Reorganisation programme has been the delegation of decision-making authority to Area Management teams in each of the six electoral areas.
The services of Donegal County Council are delivered on an electoral area basis and there is an area management team for each electoral area. Electoral Area Committee meetings take place on a bi-monthly basis and deals specifically with local operational issues.
