Broadband in Ballybofey and Stranorlar
The twin towns of Ballybofey and Stranorlar have population of approximately 3000 people. The towns are strategically located either side of the River Finn on the main N15 between the gateway towns of Letterkenny and Sligo. The towns provide a commercial and educational centre for the heart of the county.
Route:
The route of the network is located along the main street of both towns with loops around Railway road in Stranorlar and Chestnut road/ Trusk road in Ballybofey. Spurs are provided along the N15 to the Hospital in east and to Capry in the west. This is to facilitate future connection to the proposed Ballybofey / Stranorlar Bypass. Backhaul to the ESBT network is provided via a splice point at Capry. Overall the route is approximately 10kM in length.
