The project is led by ERNACT and brings together local and regional authorities from across Europe including:

- Muncipality of Burgas & ARDI, Bulgaria

- Association of Regional Authorities, Västermorrland, Sweden
- Regional Authority of Olomouc, Czech Republic
It has been designated as ‘Fasttrack’ by the European Commission and as such, receives additional mentoring and supervisory support. Donegal County Council together with the other Irish partner regions (Galway and ERNACT) actively consults with the BMW Regional Assembly on all aspects of the project.
