Attention Community and Voluntary Groups …time is running out for the return of your questionnaire!
The Research and Policy Unit of Donegal County Council is carrying out a survey of all community and voluntary groups in County Donegal and is urging all groups to send in their completed forms by 31 May 2005.
Although staff at the Research and Policy Unit is encouraged by the number of responses received to date, they are keen to urge all community and voluntary groups in the county to fill out a questionnaire so that a true and accurate picture of this sector emerges from the findings.
Loretto McNicholas, Manager of the Unit said that “community and voluntary groups in the county undertake a lot of good work and very often this goes unrecognised and this survey is giving groups an opportunity to tell us what they are doing and what they need to continue this work”. She added that “the findings of this survey will be instrumental in advising policy makers at county and national level where resources should be directed to help the community and voluntary sector to continue the good work that they do”.
A number of research assistants are available, on an electoral area basis, to assist any group in filling out a questionnaire and contact details are set out below.
