“Party in the Park 2005”
This years ‘Party in the Park’ aimed at families and teenagers will be held in the Letterkenny Town Park on Saturday 6th August. It will be headlined by Super 8 kids and will feature Local bands, DJs, dancers and a sculpture demonstration. There will also be activities to cater for all ages from the very young to teenagers, including a Bungee Run, Sumo Suits, Inflatable Boxing Ring, Face Painting, Bouncy Castles and much more.
The “Party in the Park” was held last year for the first time and due to last years success it was decided to hold it as an annual event. The “Party in the Park” is organised by the Letterkenny Youth Information Centre, the Letterkenny Arts Centre and the Donegal Youth Council. The aim of the annual event is to provide families and teenagers with a festival type atmosphere and give them an opportunity to enjoy themselves, kick back and have a bit a craic!.
Thanks to local business sponsorship from The Music Centre, Pat’s Pizza and Four Lanterns (others to be announced). There will be a number of small quiz competitions on the day for various spot prizes. The day will end with a performance by headlining act ‘Super 8 Kids’.
Admission on the day is Free and the event is Strictly Non Alcohol. The party is open to all, so come along and have fun with family, friends and everyone else.
