Milford Community are hosting a book launch of
“Flight of the Earls”

In January 2007, Milford Community Library invited students from Mulroy College to write and illustrate a book on the Flight of the Earls geared towards primary school children. The story is set in a present day classroom with the main character Shane O’Donnell being transferred back through time to the actual Flight of the Earls, and how he inadvertently becomes embroiled in the journey from Donegal Town to Rathmullan. This is a beautifully illustrated, engaging story set in the historical context of the Flight of the Earls. It is a joy to read, and will be a valuable resource that can be used by both teachers and pupils.
