Donegal County Council, Fermanagh District Council & ADOPT are currently preparing an application for funding to the Peace III programme under Measure 2.1 ‘Creating Shared Public Spaces’. This Peace III funding aims to regenerate urban, rural and border areas that appear derelict, segregated, under-used, threatening and/or unwelcoming and transform them into shared spaces.
The new Peace III programme will be the final EU funded Peace programme in direct support of peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland and the border counties. Consequently, all projects funded under this final Peace programme must be iconic and provide a lasting legacy to the investment made and funding provided by the EU to the region.
