Donegal County Council is proposing to construct a new 2m wide footbridge over the River Finn adjacent to Dromore Bridge, Killygordon. The new four div bridge will be offset and independent of the existing structure and it will be located downstream of the road bridge and have a similar vertical alignment. The estimated construction cost is €327,000 and the total div is approx. 77m
A notice was placed in the local press on week ending 17th March informing the public of the council's intension to construct the footbridge under Article 81 of the Planning and Development Act 2000. The plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection at the Road Design Office, County House, Lifford and at the local Area Roads Office and Planning Office listed for the specified project in the above schedule. Plans may be inspected between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:30 p.m. from Monday 27th March 2006 for a period of 4 weeks.
Submissions and observations with respect to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and development of the area in which the development is situated may be made to The County Secretary, Donegal County Council, Lifford, County Donegal, before 9.30 am on Monday 8th May 2006.
