The Planning and Economic Development Directorate, Donegal County Council recently submitted a funding application to the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs to undertake enhancement works in a number of towns and villages throughout the Donegal Gaeltacht area. The Council is providing funding of €429,100 for proposed renewal projects in Annagry, Kincasslagh, Luinnigh, Coisclady, Bunbeg/Derrybeg, Doochary, Gortahork, Loughanure, Glencolmcille, Dungloe, Meenbanad, Stramartin, Dore, Carrigart, Carrick (Donegal) and Termon Scoil Colmcille. Works include footpaths, signage, stone walls and heritage project.
Donegal County Council funding of €429,100 will be match-funded by the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, under the Village Enhancement Scheme for Donegal from 2006 to 2008.
