Junior Achievement Awards

Primary and Secondary students in Co. Donegal recently benefited from the advice and experience of the local authorities who delivered a range of the Junior Achievement programmes. Six volunteers from Donegal County Council taught the programmes in local schools and helped the students gain a better understanding of the business world.

On Monday 3rd Sept the business volunteers gathered to receive their certificates from An Méara Cllr. John Boyle and the County Manager, Mr. Michael McLoone. The certificates and feedback report were presented to acknowledge the hard work and commitment of Donegal County Council to the surrounding schools.

Siobhan Kelly, Junior Achievement commented, “We are delighted that Donegal County Council are involved in the programmes this year. They have been very committed in giving a helping hand to schools in the area. We are really excited about our involvement with the council and hope to a have number of primary programmes beginning in September. ”
