Winter Exhibitions by the County Archives, Lifford
An exhibition of archives relating to the history of the GAA in Donegal, recently launched by the Archives Service, is currently on display in the foyer of the Archives Service office (the exhibition area), First floor, Three Rivers Centre, Lifford.
Among the items on display are:
• Photographs, posters, bye-laws, programmes, flyers and other items;
• A short history of the GAA in Donegal.
• Copies of the recent publication by the Archives Service: The Archives of the Donegal Board of the GAA.
This display will continue for a number of weeks and is open, 9 – 4.30, Mondays to Fridays.
• Also available for viewing on the ground floor of the Three Rivers Centre, reception area, Lifford is a small wall mounted exhibition case displaying archives relating to the Railways in County Donegal.
All are welcome to come and see both exhibits during normal office hours, Monday - Friday.
In the Letterkenny Public Service Centre a small wall mounted display of items relating to the history of Letterkenny is available for viewing during office hours.
Donegal County Archives is always interested in acquiring archives – including photographs, letters, documentation, on the history and culture of Donegal. Items can be copied and given back to the owner, or can be donated outright to the County Archives.
