Substantial Roadworks are scheduled to commence on the above route between Annagry and Meenaleck on Wednesday 24th August 2011. The Works include water pipe replacement, road widening and road surfacing.
Closure of the road is essential as the existing road is narrow, and with the scale and complexities of the proposed works, other Traffic Management Techniques would not ensure the safety of the Public and our Employees.
The hours of expected closures shall be limited to between 7.30am to 5.30pm Monday through to Friday. The Road will be open as normal in the evenings and at the weekends.
Signed diversions shall be in place for circa 5 weeks via the Glen Road/N56. Notices re the proposed works have been aired on the local radio stations since the 22nd August 2011.
Local businesses that may be affected by these works have been advised and specific signage re access shall be erected.
