Who can apply for a Reduction?
The following reductions are available for the types of Development detailed below:
Developments Granted Permission under the Development Contribution Scheme 2008-2012 (where the Council made the Decision to Grant on or after the 18th of February 2008):
- 50% Reduction
Single House Developments that connect to Group Water Supply Schemes not taken over by the Council, which do consume public water and where the financial contribution to the Group is €1500 or greater.
- 100% Reduction
Developments that connect to Group Water Supply Schemes not taken over by the council, which do not consume public water.
Developments Granted Permission Under the Development Contribution Scheme 2006 (i.e. where the Council made the Decision to Grant between the 1st of March 2006 and the 18th of February 2008):
- 100% Reduction
Developments that connect to Group Water Supply Schemes that do not consume public water.
What Evidence do I need, to Apply for a Reduction?
Applicants applying for a reduction will need to fill out the relevant application form. A separate cover letter is not necessary.
In particular applicant‘s attention is drawn to the need to complete the following sections:
- Planning Reference Number.
- Planning Applicant’s Name and Address and contact telephone number.
- Development Address.
- Name of the Group Scheme.
- The Amount of Money paid to the Group.
- Group Scheme Promoters Name and Address.
- Group Scheme Promoter’s Signature.
Incomplete Applications will be returned to the applicant.
