In 2008, the Urban & Village Renewal Section of Donegal County Council in conjunction with project partners Fermanagh District Council and ADoPT submitted a PEACE III application for EU funding to the Special European Union Programme Body (SEUPB) under Measure 2.1 Creating Shared Public Spaces. The application was successful and the funding awarded of €8.325m was officially announced by Mr. Pat Colgan, Chief Executive of the SEUPB in the presence of the Tanaiste Mary Coughlan, Minister for Education and Skills on the 1st February 2010 in the Methodist Hall, Tullyhommon, Co.Fermanagh.
