The sport's people include Toni Kelly, Rory Kavanagh, Stephen O’Reilly, Shaun McGowan, Tommy McCafferty and Philip Deignan who have all recorded adverts in conjunction with the Donegal Road Safety Working Group. These advertisements are being played on local radio over the summer to highlight road safety and appeal to people to ‘Think Road Safety’.

Not drinking and driving is a very basic and simple thing when it comes to road safety and something we can all do which will definitely reduce the number of collisions on our roads.”

Philip Deignan – Professional Cyclist

“As a cyclist I do my training on the open roads which can often be a very hostile environment. Each and every one of us has a responsibility to help make them safer: drivers, cyclists and walkers. Two simple things that I believe will make a difference are not using a mobile phone when driving and when walking or cycling, wearing bright and reflective clothing. I am delighted to work with the Donegal Road Safety Working Group and I hope this initiative will help reduce the number of people seriously injured and killed on our roads.”
