02/12/19 Public information meetings for Ailt an Chorráin and Árainn Mhór ‘Harbour to Island Regeneration’ project

Public information meetings will be held in Burtonport and Árainn Mhór Island on Wednesday 11 December on the new ‘Harbour to Island Regeneration’ project which is being led by Donegal County Council. 

 

These meetings are being held to provide communities with more information on this exciting €4 million project which was recently awarded funding of just over €3 million under the Rural Regeneration and  Development Fund (RRDF) by the Minister Michael Ring T.D.

 

The Harbour to Island Regeneration project between Burtonport and Árainn Mhór is set to transform the harbour environment delivering improved infrastructure at the harbour in Burtonport as well as high quality shorefront amenity infrastructure on Árainn Mhór.

 

Members of the Council’s Regeneration & Development Team will be available in An Chultúrlann, Árainn Mhór Island on Wednesday 11 December from 11am to 12noon to answer queries and give additional information in respect of the project.  The Team will then be joined by colleagues from the Councils Piers and Harbours Section for an evening session starting 5pm to 8pm in the Community Centre in Burtonport. Plans and project particulars will be on display and available for inspection.

 

This event is a drop-in event, no appointment is necessary and everyone is welcome to attend.

Cruinnithe Poiblí maidir leis an Togra Athnuachana Cuan go hOileán idir Ailt an Chorráin agus Árainn Mhór.

 

Reáchtálfar cruinnithe eolais poiblí in Ailt an Chorráin agus in Árainn Mhór Dé Céadaoin 11 Nollaig maidir leis an Togra Athnuachana úr Cuan go hOileán idir Ailt an Chorráin agus Árainn Mhór, atá faoi cheannas Chomhairle Contae Dhún na nGall.

 

Tá na cruinnithe seo á reáchtáil chun tuilleadh eolais a thabhairt don phobal  maidir leis an togra iontach seo, ar fiú €4 milliún é, agus ar bhronn an tAire Michael Ring T.D. breis agus €3 milliún air ar na mallaibh ón Chiste Athnuachana agus Forbartha Tuaithe.

 

 

Cuirfidh an Togra Athnuachana Cuan go hOileán idir Ailt an Chorráin agus Árainn Mhór athrú ó bhonn ar thimpeallacht iomlán an chuain trí bhonneagar feabhsaithe a chur ar fáil ag an chuan in Ailt an Chorráin, chomh maith le háiseanna bonneagair d’ardchaighdeán cois cladaigh ar Árainn Mhór.

 

 

Beidh baill d’Fhoireann Athnuachana agus Forbartha na Comhairle ar fáil sa Chultúrlann, Árainn Mhór Dé Céadaoin 11 Nollaig ó 11am go dtí 12pm chun ceisteanna a fhreagairt agus tuilleadh eolais a thabhairt maidir leis an togra. Agus ansin tiocfaidh a gcuid comhghleacaithe ó Rannóg Céanna agus Cuanta na Comhairle chuig seisiún tráthnóna ag toiseacht ar 5pm go dtí 8pm san Ionad Pobail in Ailt an Chorráin. Beidh pleananna agus sonraí maidir leis an togra ar taispeáint agus ar fáil lena scrúdú.
