As a result of information events held in 2018 and 2019, plus the publication of the relevant consultation reports, the emerging greenway corridors for each route have now been finalised by the project team.
Route 1, linking Derry to Buncrana via Newtowncunningham: Route 1
Route 2: linking Muff to Derry: Route 2
Route 3: linking Strabane to Lifford: Route 3
Construction in Lifford and Muff is planned for Q1, 2020. Construction in Derry and Strabane is planned for 2020. A final date will be announced later this year. While the corridor linking Derry to Buncrana has now been finalised, it will go to planning by summer 2020. The construction phase for Buncrana-Derry is subject to planning approval.
