Muff village to Derry via border crossing
With the exception of signage, work has now been completed in Muff.
Route 2 (10.5kms): linking Muff to the commuter settlement of Culmore and connecting to Derry via a shared path. A dedicated cycling and walking bridge is also due to be constructed over Pennyburn at Bay Road Park, linking to the existing shared cycle/walking route under Foyle Bridge and along River Foyle, continuing to the city centre/Guildhall. Construction commenced in Muff on 8 September 2021 and was completed in May 2022.
Construction on the section under the auspices of Derry City & Strabane District Council will begin by late summer 2022. It is the Council's intention to published the works contract in early July 2022.
