‘Nature’s Calendar’ is a monthly newspaper column on the natural heritage of County Donegal written by Liz Sheppard. The column was commissioned by the County Donegal Heritage Forum and the County Donegal Heritage Office, Cultural Services as part of the implementation of the County Donegal Heritage Plan (Action 1.7). The column which is published in the ‘Donegal Democrat’ on the first Thursday of every month addresses a particular seasonal theme relating to natural heritage of County Donegal and highlights four aspects of flora and fauna to find each month.
