Concert and Official Opening of Seachtain na Gaeilge 2022

 

 

 

Is í Caoimhe Ní Chathail, láithreoir raidió agus teilifíse, arb as Leitir Ceanainn ó dhúchas í, a sheolfaidh féile Sheachtain na Gaeilge 2022 san iarthuaisceart anocht in Amharclann Ghaoth Dobhair ag Ceolchoirm na Féile ar 7.30pm. Tá Caoimhe roghnaithe mar Ambasadóir Sheachtain na Gaeilge don Iarthuaisceart don bhliain 2022.

 

 

Beidh siamsóirí agus ceoltóirí agus damhsóirí den scoth ag glacadh páirte ar an ardán ag an cheolchoirm anocht, atá oscailte don phobal agus saor in aisce. I measc na n-aíonna a chuirfidh siamsaíocht ar fáil beidh an grúpa ceoil as Gaoth Dobhair An Crann Óg, ceoltóirí eile An Brainse, an file Sam Ó Fearraigh, an t-amhránaí Gearóidín Bhreathnach, damhsóirí Frank agus Eileen Sweeney, agus réalta cheoil an chontae Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh.

 


Beidh réimse leathan imeachtaí ar siúl in achan chuid den chontae, agus sna contaetha béal dorais i dTír Eoghain agus i nDoire, idir imeachtaí ar líne agus imeachtaí beo: mar shampla, ceol, scéalaíocht, ciorcail chomhrá, maidineacha caife, clubanna leabhar, comórtais ghrianghraf, taispeántais ealaíne agus taispeántas cócaireachta, tráth na gceisteanna, agus ranganna Gaeilge do dhaoine atá ag pilleadh ar an teanga.



Tá clár na n-imeachtaí don iarthuaisceart le fáil thíos. Cuirfear nascanna chuig aon imeachtaí eile thíos de réir mar a fhaigheann an Chomhairle eolas fúthu.

 

Clár Imeachtaí Sheachtain na Gaeilge don Iarthuaisceart 2022

Radio and Television presenter Caoimhe Ní Chathail, native of Leitir Ceanainn, will officially launch Seachtain na Gaeilge/Irish Language Week in the northwest this evening in Amharclann Ghaoth Dobhair, at the Launch Concert at 7.30pm. Caoimhe has been selected as Ambassador for Seachtain na Gaeilge for the Northwest for 2022.

 

Top quality artists, musicians and dancers will be taking to the stage at the concert this evening, an event which is open to the public and free of charge. Amongst the various performers will be the local traditional youth group An Crann Óg, new group Brainse, poet Sam Ó Fearraigh, singer Gearóidín Bhreathnach, dancers Frank agus Eileen Sweeney, and Altán’s Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh.

 

 

There will be a wide range of events taking place across Donegal and in our neighbouring counties of Doire and Tír Eoghain, between live events and online events, including music, storytelling, conversation circles, coffee mornings, photo competitions, art exhibitions, walks, a Gaeltacht cycle, a cooking display, quizzes, and Irish classes for those returning to the language.
