We now accept all colours of glass bottles mixed together in the same bank.
Aluminium cans, steel tins and aerosols can also be placed together in the the can banks.
Never leave rubbish behind at the bottle banks or leave empty boxes or bags behind, this is considered illegal dumping. The on - the - spot litter fine is €150. The Council also monitor the bottle bank sites for illegal dumping using covert survelliance.
