Background
The purpose of the Seven Strategic Towns Local Area Plan 2018-2024 is to set out an overall strategy for the proper planning and sustainable development of the seven towns and to provide a land use planning policy framework to guide the way in which each of the seven towns will be developed into the future. The Plan will be a material consideration in making decisions on planning applications.
The Seven Strategic Towns Local Area Plan 2018-2024 should be read in tandem with the Donegal County Development Plan, 2018-2024.
The Seven Strategic Towns Local Area Plan 2018-2024 has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of the Planning and Development Acts 2000 (As Amended), and the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004 and the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) (Amendment) Regulations 2011.
