Speed Limit Review for Public Roads and Housing Estates-Conclusion of Public Drop-In Events

Donegal County Council would like to take this opportunity to thank all members of the public who attended the Speed Limit Review drop-in events at each Municipal District Offices.

 

Events were held to gather public feedback on speed limits throughout the county and collect submissions from members of the public on specific locations where they felt the existing speed limits should be reviewed against the Department of Transport Guidelines.

 

The closing date for new submissions was the 2pm on 25th of November 2022.

 

A statutory Public Consultation period will follow in 2023 during which members of the public will be given the opportunity to view proposed changes to the Special Speed Limit Bye-Laws for Donegal. This Statutory Public Consultation will be widely advertised and proposed changes to the Special Speed Limit Bye-Laws for Donegal will be on display at Local Authority Offices, on the Local Authority Website and at www.speedlimits.ie.
