The area surrounding the fire at Upper Main Street in Buncrana remains closed off today. The public are being advised to stay away from the area for public safety reasons as there are concerns in relation an asbestos roof damaged as a result of the fire at one of the properties. Residents living in or near the affected area are advised to keep their doors and windows closed. Donegal County Council staff are at the scene dealing with this issue and an asbestos specialist will assess the area this afternoon.
