This evening sees the release of Episode 2 of The Riptide Movement Plastic Oceans 3-part web series at 7:15pm on the Clean Coasts facebook page.
The Riptide Movement travelled along the incredible Irish coastline and met with some of Ireland's leading marine biologists, researchers, campaigners and volunteers to discover the real impacts of plastic in our oceans and what it means for the future of all life on our planet, including us.
In the 2nd episode the band visit the NW where they learn to surf and discuss tackling the problem of marine litter at local level with big wave bodyboarder Seamus ‘Shambles’ McGoldrick in Strandhill and they chat to Donegal native, marine scientist and foodie Finn Ní Fhaoláin about the small changes you can make every day to help minimise the problem.
They also travel to IT Sligo to discuss mircoplastics with DR. Yvonne Lang.
With the recent release of the ban on microplastics in Ireland, this episode has come at a significant time.’
The first episode of the web series can be found on the Clean Coasts website if you wish to share.
