From 15th September 2023 all Commercial Rate payers in Donegal will receive their final valuation certificate which will be effective from 1st January 2024. This certificate has issued from Tailte Éireann (formerly known as The Valuation Office) Please read your certificate carefully and note that the Valuation (Net Annual Valuation) figure is not your annual rates liability.
You can get an indicative idea of your liability from 2024 if you multiply this figure by an ARV (Annual Rate of Valuation) of 0.232 e.g. 65,000 valuation * 0.232 = Estimated rate bill of €15,080. Please also note that this is only an indicative guide as the final ARV (Annual Rate of Valuation) will not be set until December 2023.
Please also note that any queries in relation to your certificate should be addressed to Tailte Éireann who can be contacted on 01-5846753 or via email on [email protected]. There is also comprehensive information to be found on their website, including a helpful list of FAQ. https://www.tailte.ie/valuation/revaluation/
