The Western Development Commission (WDC) has confirmed the return next week of the popular TV series Moving West. The fourth episode of Season 3 will focus on Donegal and is set to air on Tuesday, November 5th, at 7:30 pm on TG4.

Produced by Dundara Television & Media in collaboration with the WDC and Donegal County Council, and hosted by beloved Irish television presenter Mary Kennedy, Moving West continues to capture the heart and soul of life in the west and northwest. Through heartfelt, real-life stories, the series highlights individuals and families who have relocated to this stunning region to embrace a new way of life.

This episode takes viewers on a journey through Donegal, featuring Buncrana, Letterkenny, Fanad Head, and Ardara.

Among the remarkable stories highlighted is that of Teresa and Noel Mullaney, who moved from Monaghan to the Fanad Peninsula. Teresa, now a tour guide at Fanad Lighthouse, shares how her love for Donegal, its culture, and community has transformed her life. The couple is fully immersed in the local lifestyle, enjoying Donegal’s incredible landscapes and welcoming community.

The episode explores the story of Kevin Sexton, whose family moved from New York to Inishowen in the late 1960s. Kevin has since returned to Donegal, where he is now leading the development of an innovation campus in Letterkenny, which aims to put Donegal on the map as a top destination for global startups.

Donegal County Council, co-funding the episode, is excited to showcase the county’s vibrant communities, dynamic business environment, and breath-taking natural beauty. From the sandy beaches of Fanad Head to the entrepreneurial energy in Letterkenny, Donegal offers a lifestyle full of career opportunities and adventure.

Chief Executive of Donegal County Council, John G. McLaughlin said “We are delighted to be involved in the Moving West series, which will highlight the richness of life in Donegal.
