Following over €2m of investment, Bundoran’s number one tourist attraction, Waterworld, will finally reopen its doors this Friday 11th July at 10am

Guests visiting the popular indoor water park will be treated to an enhanced customer experience including a new entrance, extended changing rooms and a more comfortable air atmosphere.

The addition of Bundoran’s first “Changing Places” facility will provide ample space and means for those who are less abled, while a threefold increase in changing cubicles as well as 280 lockers, new toilets and showers will ensure a spacious and comfortable experience for all who will visit Waterworld this summer.

For those not donning their swimming trunks, a brand-new viewing area will be available where viewers can relax in comfort with a coffee and a snack and soak up the atmosphere of Waterworld.

General Manager Aine McCaughey is looking forward to seeing the facility open to the public again ‘while we’ve had a lot of people in the building doing all these works, we’ve missed the sounds of excited guests, both young and old, enjoying all of our different slides and water features. Since we closed last season, the pressure has been on to get the renovation works completed in time for this season, and while we are opening a little later than usual, we are confident that guests will have a better experience than ever when they visit Waterworld this summer.’

Chairperson of Bundoran Waterworld CLG and local councillor Micheal McMahon adds ‘this is a significant investment into tourism in Bundoran and has completely modernised Waterworld and its facilities.  From the minute guests walk in the door they will notice massive changes from the entrance to the changing village to the pool hall itself where the new air handling unit will regulate the temperature to a constant comfortable level. I’d like to pay tribute to Aine and her team as well as all the contractors who have worked so hard to ensure we got open this Friday’

All of Waterworld’s favourite attractions and water features including the Gravity Speed Slide, Whizzer Slide, Tornado Flume, Three Lane Multi Slide, Wave Pool and more will be in action across the summer season as old memories are relived and new ones made.

Booking is advised to avoid disappointment and is open now on https://waterworldbundoran.com/booking/
