Refugee Response

Cultural Diversity Day & Africa Day

LAIT Donegal were delighted to be invited to the Donegal Family Resource Centre Coffee Morning for Cultural Diversity Day and Africa Day, celebrated on Wednesday 21st May.

There was an opportunity to speak with refugees and asylum seekers from different countries including Ukraine and Palestine, to discuss their experiences of integration so far here in the county, and to sample some delicious food and learn more about diverse cultures. It is great to see such wonderful community integration taking place at local level – well done to the team at DFRC. LAIT Donegal are always delighted to work in partnership with community and statutory partners in progressing empowerment for our target groups.
