Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant Update

Donegal County Council is currently receiving high number of applications for the Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant Scheme. We are delighted with this response to the grant scheme. The team is working as quickly as possible to process applications, respond to emails and phone queries, arrange first and final inspections and make payments. 

We are dealing with new applications in date order of receipt, and we appreciate applicant’s patience as we process these.  The average processing time for new applications is approximately 6 – 8 weeks.  The average wait time for a first inspection is 4 weeks and final inspection is 4 - 6 weeks. 

There is no current closing date for applications and the scheme is included in the Programme for Government 2030.
