Support Donegal | Shop in Donegal | #BuyDonegal

#BuyDonegal is back for 2025, once again shining a spotlight on the incredible businesses of Donegal! This initiative continues to be a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to showcase their innovative products and services while encouraging everyone to support them. Developed by Donegal County Council, this year's campaign will run from November 24th to December 19th, offering ample time for festive shopping and discovering the best of Donegal.

Cathaoirleach, Cllr Paul Canning, states: “In 2024, we had 400 businesses participate in #BuyDonegal, making a significant impact on our local economy. The enthusiasm from both the Donegal community and our global Diaspora has been inspiring. We look forward to expanding this success further in 2025.”

#BuyDonegal presents an excellent opportunity for consumers to find unique gifts from Donegal while supporting the local economy. The campaign encompasses a diverse range of sectors, including food and beverage producers, artisans, tourism, and retailers. It will be promoted through an online marketing strategy, including a dedicated website at buydonegal.com, where shoppers can browse an extensive selection of products and services from Donegal’s finest businesses. Visit the site now to explore the participating businesses and start planning your festive shopping list.

John G. McLaughlin, Chief Executive of Donegal County Council added, #BuyDonegal remains an excellent platform for highlighting the creativity, authenticity, and resilience of Donegal businesses. The enthusiastic response from both the business community and the public in previous years has been genuinely inspiring”.

Whether you're close to home or far away, you can support Donegal businesses by purchasing Donegal-made products and services. Share your experiences on social media using the hashtag #BuyDonegal or its Irish equivalent, #CeannaighDúnnanGall.
