Unrushed Unspoiled Donegal Tourism Campaign launched

Tourism providers in Donegal are being encouraged to participate in the new shoulder-season marketing campaign that is coming just weeks after hundreds of travel writers and content creators visited Donegal for the international TBEX conference.

This campaign is targeting the domestic market and is aiming to put Donegal to the forefront of the minds of potential visitors as they plan their Autumn and mid-term breaks.  The “Unrushed. Unspoiled. Donegal” campaign will showcase the best of Donegal through a targeted digital marketing campaign, video content, and a dedicated offers page on GoVisitDonegal.com, where visitors can explore a range of experiences, hotel packages and seasonal packages.

This campaign is being delivered by Donegal County Council's Donegal Tourism team in collaboration with Irish Hotels Federation (IHF) Donegal Branch and shaped by recent industry engagement focused on identifying supports needed for the shoulder season.

Speaking in advance of the campaign launch Cllr Paul Canning, Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council said that “we’re responding to the needs of the tourism industry by backing a campaign that drives off-peak visitation, supports employment, and strengthens Donegal’s appeal as a year-round destination.”

John G. McLaughlin, Chief Executive of Donegal County Council and Chair of Donegal Tourism, agrees saying: “this campaign is a great example of local collaboration to support the tourism sector. Autumn is a beautiful time to experience Donegal, and we look forward to welcoming visitors to enjoy all that the county has to offer.”

Tourism providers are encouraged to submit shoulder-season offers to be featured on the campaign page. A full digital rollout will take place over the coming weeks from Wednesday October 1st, with all activity directing users to GoVisitDonegal.com.
