Climate Action Week

Donegal County Council invites community groups to take part in Climate Action Week 2025

Is your group passionate about climate action? Now’s your chance to get involved.

Donegal County Council’s Climate Action Office is proud to support An Taisce's National Climate Action Week, taking place from 13th to 19th October 2025. Local community and voluntary groups across County Donegal are invited to organise events that raise awareness and inspire action on climate issues.

This nationwide initiative encourages grassroots participation and Donegal is aiming to support a range of community climate action initiatives that support one or more of the following themes:

  • Biodiversity
  • Grow Your Own
  • Energy
  • Sustainable Travel
  • Circular Economy eg. Repair & Reuse

Whether it's a film screening, tree planting, a guided nature walk, a practical sustainability workshop or a community feast featuring local produce, every idea counts.
