Expert Advice Grant
Up to €5,000 will also be available for owners of commercial properties with vacant above the shop space to seek an Expert Advice Grant in advance of applying for the Vacant Above the Shop Grant.
Engaging the services of a suitably qualified professional will assist in informing owners of the works required, planning, building requirements, statutory regulations etc. to be adhered to for undertaking such projects. The grant is to be used to generate the report and is not to be used for costs associated with planning permission.
There is no obligation on the owner to continue to a make a grant application after receiving the expert advice.
