STORM ÉOWYN - PRESS UPDATE

Donegal County Council advise the public that road conditions throughout the county are treacherous this morning with fallen trees on numerous routes. Advice is to remain in place and not to travel until this storm has passed and it is safe to do so.

Donegal County Council will be monitoring #EowynDL on social media and the public are encouraged to use this “hashtag” when posting local issues on Facebook or on X (Twitter)

Message on the Passing of Moya Brennan

On behalf of our Cathaoirleach, Cllr. Paul Canning, members, and staff of Donegal County Council, we mourn the passing of Moya Brennan, a beloved member of Clannad who received the prestigious Freedom of the County award in 2024. Her exceptional contributions to music and culture, both at home in Donegal and across the world, have made a lasting impact. We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and all who were touched by her remarkable talent and spirit. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

Members of the Letterkenny / Milford Municipal District hosted a Mayor’s Reception at the Public Services Centre, Letterkenny, to honour Charlie Grant for 45 years of dedicated service with the Letterkenny Tidy Towns Committee. The event recognised Charlie Grant’s outstanding contribution to the community and the vital role of volunteers in supporting Tidy Towns over the years
