Mayor’s Reception in honour of Charlie Grant

The members of the Letterkenny / Milford Municipal District were delighted to confer a Mayor’s Reception in honour of Charlie Grant held at the Public Services Centre, Letterkenny last evening.
The award is in recognition of Charlie’s continued contribution and tireless work with the Tidy Towns Committee in Letterkenny over the past 45 years.
Accepting the award Charlie recognised the ‘helping hands’ throughout his tenure that helped shape what the Tidy Towns Committee has become. Charlie thanked all the volunteers throughout the years and acknowledged their steadfast contribution.
Cllr Ciaran Brogan, Mayor, congratulated Charlie and recognised the great benefit that Letterkenny Town had received in Charlie’s arrival 45 years ago.

Polish Ambassador visit to Donegal County Council Ireland EU Presidency 2026

From 1 July to 31 December 2026, Ireland will assume the Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU), a central leadership role at the heart of EU decision-making. For six months, Ireland will guide negotiations, broker agreement between Member States, and help deliver EU laws and policies that affect the daily lives of more than 450 million people.
