Cór Ailigh honoured at Mayor’s Reception

The members of the Letterkenny / Milford Municipal District were delighted to confer a Mayor’s Reception in honour of Cór Ailigh held at the Public Services Centre, Letterkenny last evening.

The award is in recognition of the choir’s continued contribution to music and Irish language since its establishment in 2001. Some notable highlights in the choir’s 25-year history include performing at St. Peters Basilica in Rome, and a performance for a special Irish mass on RTE 1.

Micheal Ó Giobúin (Choir Founder) accepted the award on behalf of the choir and dedicated the award and the choir’s success to all its members, both past and present.

Cllr Ciaran Brogan, Mayor, congratulated Cór Ailigh on its’ success and acknowledged its’ achievements to date.

Message on the Passing of Moya Brennan

Paul Canning, members, and staff of Donegal County Council, we mourn the passing of Moya Brennan, a beloved member of Clannad who received the prestigious Freedom of the County award in 2024. Her exceptional contributions to music and culture, both at home in Donegal and across the world, have made a lasting impact. Mayor’s Reception in honour of Charlie Grant

Members of the Letterkenny / Milford Municipal District hosted a Mayor’s Reception at the Public Services Centre, Letterkenny, to honour Charlie Grant for 45 years of dedicated service with the Letterkenny Tidy Towns Committee. The event recognised Charlie Grant’s outstanding contribution to the community and the vital role of volunteers in supporting Tidy Towns over the years
