Donegal County Council once again celebrated the Twin Town arrangement between Letterkenny and Rudolstadt, Germany by hosting a delegation of 55 visitors from the town of Rudolstadt.

The delegation was warmly welcomed and spent 4 days taking in some of the fantastic attractions that Donegal has to offer.

Many friendships have developed between the civic leaders and local people in the two towns with the twinning arrangement including library and student exchanges with yearly visits between to the two towns taking place.

Students to the fore in tackling the under-representation of women in Donegal County Council

Making politics an official subject in all Donegal schools at Leaving Cert level, the creation of a county-wide public speaking competition, a mentorship programme involving retired/ former county councillors who could share their experience with people new to politics, and bursaries for women to help them cover the cost of running for election were just some of the innovative recommendations made by students to Donegal County Council in order to see more women elected in the next local elections.

Letterkenny Rovers honoured at Mayor’s Reception

The members of the Letterkenny / Milford Municipal District were delighted to confer a Mayor’s Reception in honour of Letterkenny Rovers held at the Public Services Centre, Letterkenny last Thursday.

Motor Taxation 9.15am to 12.15pm, and 1.15pm to 3pm (Tuesdays and Thursdays)

Cash Office 9am-12.30pm, and 1pm-4.00pm (Monday to Friday)

Other Services 9am-12.30pm, and 1pm-4.30pm (Monday to Friday)
